What's missing
The main objection is that the hub occupies both of MacBook Neo's USB-C ports but gives back only one USB-C data port. For users with older USB-A accessories, that trade can work. For those who have moved fully to USB-C, the reviewer would have preferred an extra USB-C port instead of, or alongside, USB-A.
Satechi also lists compatibility with MacBook Air M1–M4 and MacBook Pro M1–M5, where the dual USB-C ports are placed compatibly. MacWire says, however, that the design works best on MacBook Neo.
Final verdict
MacWire calls the Snap Hub a practical, well-considered accessory at a good price, SEK 599 at the time of the review.
